Çocuk Gibi Bak (See Like A Child) Campaign

The Facebook Counterspeech Website features examples of collegiate initiatives that challenge hate speech online. I coached and mentored students, as they created the Çocuk Gibi Bak (See Like a Child) campaign in Izmir, Turkey, which emphasized the need for Syrian refugee children to feel accepted and encouraged in order to thrive happily into adulthood, also as a means to counter hate speech towards refugee children in Turkey. This team of students won the Fall 2018 Facebook Global Digital Challenge.
